ᴥ First and foremost, IC & OOC are to be kept separate at all times. Any OOC harassment of other writers will not be tolerated. You cross the line, you're out.
ᴥ We ask that all writers in this community be at least 18 years of age. Characters younger than 18 will not be accepted into the comm.
ᴥ While taking a few liberties with ones character is really the nature of the beast in RP, we do ask that you be as realistic as possible in your portrayal of your celeb. This also applies to character sexuality. If your character is straight, gay or bi in real life, then we ask that they please be played as such in comm as well. Google alerts are a good way to keep up with what's going on with your character, though you are free to tweak a few details here and there as needed.
ᴥ Immersed is primarily journal based (read: we're a comment happy bunch) but AIM is also encouraged and welcomed.
ᴥ Your character is required to write one substantial update in their journal every five weeks. We do not ask for novels, by any means, but at least three decent paragraphs is preferable. If your only activity in the comm is your update every five weeks, please be aware that your character may be overridden. Placeholders do not count as updates. You must update before or on the day your are due to do so. If you have not updated by midnight of the day you are due and you have not requested an extension, you will be removed from the comm.
ᴥ Please be aware that if you intro in comm and do not reply to any of the comments left on your intro post within a week, you will be removed from the community. If you intro and are not seen on the friends page in any capacity for three solid weeks thereafter, you will also be removed.
ᴥ We are happy to grant extensions when needed but please be aware that repeated requests for them will be denied and you will be removed should you fail to update on time. Should you need an extension, please try to ask for it before your character is due to update. If you need to take a hiatus for any reason, please let us know HERE and post a note in your journal to give the rest of the comm a heads up too. Please be aware that if your hiatus should exceed six weeks, your character will be removed from the comm.
ᴥ Writers are welcome to have more than one character in comm but we do ask that you try to be active with all your characters. Characters who only appear on the friends page when they are due to update may be overridden. We also ask that each writer have no more than four characters in the comm at any one time. Further applications will be denied.
ᴥ Holds are kept until adds are done. If you have not had a chance to apply and would like your character to remain held until the next set of adds, please let us know. Hold requests are to be left HERE.
ᴥ When applying, you are required to have a first entry for your character. We feel this helps give both the mods and other members of the community a feel for your character. You cannot be accepted into the community without a first post.
ᴥ All applications should be accompanied by two different excerpts of a thread or AIM scene. If this is the first time you have played a character, feel free to use an example from another character you have played. This gives us an idea about the kind of writer you are and how you will fit in with the comm.
ᴥ All journals must have a link in their UI to the mod journal. We also ask that you have a friends only post and that you have anonymous comments disabled to prevent spam.
ᴥ In the event that a hold is challenged, we will pick the character we feel is the best fit for the comm.
ᴥ Established and pre-existing storylines are welcome.
ᴥ Please ensure your journal name contains your characters name or at least some variation of it.
ᴥ Please be aware that we reserve the right to reject your application if we feel you are not a good fit for the comm.
ᴥ Once you have been accepted into the comm, you need to intro in our random community, paraphernalia, within 48 hours. If you have not done so in this time, you will be removed.
ᴥ Adds will be done every MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY.
